Hello! Here’s an attempt at a simple crochet pattern, you can easily modify this to fit whatever style of garment you want to make (pants, shorts, etc). I’ve also paired a YouTube video to with the pattern. I recommend this for someone with at least beginner to intermediate knowledge of crochet. It’s not diffifult, but the tiny thread and hook can make it a bit challenging. See for yourself and give it try if you like :o)

Sonny Angel Overalls Pattern
Materials:
- thread/thin yarn (I used the Diaso Lace Yarn)
- crochet hook (size 4 to 6) just depends on your tension
- scissors
- needle for sewing in ends
- patience & believing in your set
Chain 20 (or enough to go around the widest part of the angel) you want an even number, with this yarn and hook, 20 works perfectly. Join in a round with slip stitch.
Row 2, single crochet all the way around. Join with a slip stitch.
Row 3-5, single crochet around joining each row with a slip stich.
Starting the individual pant legs.
Row 6, single crochet 5, then insert your hook the opposite side of the band by crocheting 5 to the end. You are making a pant leg, so it should look like a smaller single circle on top of the first bigger band that we made.
Continue working in a round until you get the desired length on pants you want (should be just above the foot) You can stop here and join with a slip stitch, or make a flared hem like the version in the photo by repeating a pattern of two double crochet in each stitch.
Moving onto the other leg, join the yarn to a stitch towards in medial side of the pant leg. Single crochet all the way around (you should have 10 stictches around here if you started with 20). Keep crocheting in a round until you get to the length of the other leg.
You can leave this if you want as a pair of pants, otherwise, join your yarn on the top part of the pants, about 1-2 stiches in from the edge of the pants. Single crochet about 5 or 6 across, then chain 1, turn, and crochet back across joining into the 2nd stitch to from the edge. Repeat until you only have 3 stitches at the top.
Now is the time for the straps! Keep chaining from this point and check the length at this point to see how long you want it to be. You will either attach it on the other side, or across to make an X pattern (this is what I did in the video).
Attach to the backside, then single crochet a few stitches across, then start making a chain to create the other strap. Attach it back on the other side (front) and you are all done! Weave in the ends and your Sonny Angel is ready for a nice day out and about in it’s own pair of custom overalls!
